Dear Friends In Labor:

Below, please find information on a fundraiser for Jessica Stone an 11-year old young lady fighting Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer.

Jessica is the granddaughter of Clyde J. Johnston, Jr., retired Business Manager of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 463. Clyde continues to serve the Operating Engineers as a Trustee for the Engineers Joint Pension Funds and also President of the Niagara County Building and Construction Trades Council of WNY.

Clyde, along with his family, is tirelessly working to get Jessica the care she needs to be cured of this disease. To fight this cancer, Jessica will need six months of chemotherapy, and as you can imagine, this will surely result in lost wages for Clyde's daughter Kristin along with significant medical expenses for the family.

The Officers and Members of IUOE Local 463 would greatly appreciate any contributions-large or small-towards this benefit.

Please make any checks payable to:

The Jessica Stone Benefit

We are contacting you on behalf of Jessica Stone, an 11-year old girl who was recently diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer found in children and adolescents. Jessica is a 6th grader at 79th Street School and has been a member of our school community since she was in Kindergarten.

Jessica is a very energetic and enthusiastic girl. Unfortunately, the cancer cells in her body have spread. She is just beginning her long journey of battling this illness. Her fight against the cancer will require a minimum of six months of chemotherapy. This will surely result in lost wages and significant medical expenses for the family.

Through the sponsorship of the 79th Street School Parent Teacher Team, 79th Street School is hosting a benefit for Jessica and her family. The benefit will be held on Friday November 6th, 2009 at 79th Street School, 551 79th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. It will run from 5:00 pm-9:00pm. We are seeking any contributions your business may be able to donate for this worthy family. Your contribution will help the family obtain medical care for Jessica.

The benefit will include live entertaining from area musicians, a kids bazaar, Chinese auction, Split Club, Reverse Draw, and refreshments. Donations of food, drink, auction items and monetary contributions will greatly impact the success of the benefit.

Monetary donations and checks payable to "The Jessica Stone Benefit" can be sent to 79th Street School, attention Karen Cassert. All other donations can also be sent to the school or contact Karen Cassert or Amy Milleville at 278-7902.

We thank you in advance for the impact your generosity will have on Jessica and her family during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Karen Cassert and Amy Milleville
