Dave Moss is in town, but this time not for fun.
In the middle of May, Dave was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It is an aggressive form of Leukemia for which he received two different opinions on in Florida. Neither opinion seemed to promise more than a year of life. At that point, I recommended he come back home where they know cancer best, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Within two visits he was admitted and has begun Chemotherapy today, June 30th. The treatment is intense and will have him staying at Roswell for one month. When he knocks it into remission, he will need to have a bone marrow transplant for a long-term future. None of these treatments were offered in Florida.
We are hopeful for a full recovery, and know that your prayers and support will help him achieve that. He will be staying on the 6th floor in room 6721. If there are any of your members active or retired that would like to visit him, please do. I will be going there daily and will be driving from Youngstown. I am willing to drive anyone who would want to go. I can be reached at 228-4023.
Thank You,
Rob Moss
